Why this exists
A note from the builder.
I'm a Christian, a husband, and a father. When my first daughter was born, she wasn't breathing. In an instant, I felt a depth of fear and love I had never known. I prayed harder than I ever had—that God would watch over her, keep her safe, and give her breath.
Then she started breathing.
I can't fully explain everything about that moment, but I have never forgotten what it felt like to place something unbearable into God's hands. It deepened my belief in the power of prayer and became part of a longer journey of faith for our family.
I believe God hears us when we pray alone. We don't need an app—or another person—to reach Him. But I also believe there is special power in praying together. We are called to pray for one another, to carry one another's burdens, and to remind each other that we do not have to face life's hardest moments alone.
I'm also a deeply private person. I know how difficult it can be to tell someone what you're really carrying, even when you desperately want others to pray with you. And when I look at the pain, fear, and division in the world, I wonder how many people are holding something they cannot say aloud—not to their family, not to their church, not anywhere they feel known.
What if there were a quiet place where someone could ask others to pray without having to reveal who they are? A place where one person could bring a burden directly to God—and also know that someone else was lifting it up with them?
That is why I began building Unbottled Prayers. Not because anyone needs an app to speak to God, but because sometimes it helps to know you are not the only one praying.
